The Grants & Revenue Manager contributes to the calling of Medical Teams International by supporting the acquisition of institutional grants and creating standard processes, guidance, tools, and resources to support institutional and grant funding acquisition across the Medical Teams US Program (USP) portfolio. The position includes developing common tools and processes for proposal and grant agreement execution, grant writing and reporting, grant compliance, US Programs, grant knowledge management and coordination. This role is also responsible for monitoring and reporting of non-USP generated revenue sources, including supervision of Medicaid billing and payments, site fees, and individual donations for all USP Programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Process and Standards Development
Design, develop or adapt standardized processes and common tools for all aspects of institutional grant management from opportunity vetting, go/no go process, proposal/concept development, partnership and sub award documentation, grant design and implementation, document retention and knowledge management, grant compliance, and award closeout.
Design and facilitate training and collaboration for program teams on minimum standards, tools, resources, and systems to ensure effective roll-out and utilization of institutional, corporate, and foundation grants.
Design, develop and facilitate multi-resource tools and processes in collaboration with Finance team to monitor and report on financial health and/or challenges posed by each Program’s monthly income and expenditures, including individual donations, site fees, Medicaid fees, private foundation grants, and corporate gifts.
Lead and advise program teams on grant acquisition processes, documentation, proposal/report pipeline, and grant compliance, as needed.
Funding Acquisition, Writing and Grant Compliance
Develop narratives for both general operational support and capacity building.
In collaboration with the Executive Director and Program Managers, develop multi-year government support aligned with budget goals.
Research and identify government grant opportunities, specifically focusing on opportunities that build long-term financial stability (i.e. recurring contracts).
Develop and lead an annual plan for government grants, including timetables, report schedules, prospect identification and associated due dates
Contribute to and advise on annual workforce plan for USP and support services staff as part of the annual strategic planning process.
Guide the work with program partners to develop MOU’s and other formalized partnership agreements, including Letters of Support.
Oversee the work with program partners to discover potential sub-grantee opportunities.
Monitor program activities and data for contract/grant compliance.
Write, prepare, and submit quarterly reports per grant contract.
Liaise with the internal CFR Team regarding required private foundation matches and collaborate in writing CFR grants as needed.
Inform USP about funding strategies based on industry and donor trends, as requested.
Develop concept papers, proposals and write grants in collaboration with program teams.
Work with and provide input for annual budget, focusing on detailed budget narrative.
Monitor financials for contract/grant compliance, which includes leading monthly meetings on grant implementation & grant financial management for both Oregon and Washington grants.
Oversee weekly snapshot reports of all revenue and expenditures for each USP Program and provide these updates to Program Managers and USP Executive Director.
Collaborate with response team staff and institutional donors in early stages of a response to identify donor priorities, as requested.
Develop strategies for increasing Medicaid reimbursements.
Grants Knowledge Management and Analysis
Design and/or improve existing systems to enhance collaboration, knowledge management, monitoring and reporting of grant funding and documentation to ensure institutional knowledge and consistent data management.
Maintain accurate grant and donor data in collaboration with other teams and focal points, to ensure relevant information for monitoring and reporting is reliable, including but not limited to storage of contracts, correspondence, amendments, donor contacts.
Analyze grant and donor data to support the USP Leadership and conduct regular income analysis, grant forecasting, and funding and donor strategy development.
Develop relationships between program and government stakeholders via meetings, conferences, and other participatory activities.
Design and conduct lessons learned activities and quality improvement initiatives to regularly innovate and improve processes, tools, guidance, and systems.
Staff Supervision and Coordination:
Supervise the Medicaid Billing and Patient Specialist, providing guidance, performance management, and support to ensure accurate Medicaid billing and patient operations.
Ensure Medicaid billing practices align with grant compliance requirements and organizational financial goals.
Collaborate with the Specialist to identify opportunities for increased Medicaid reimbursements and improved patient workflows.
