Graphic Artist

Job description:

Successful family-owned business in Valdese area seeks exceptional individual to work in the graphic arts design area. This position will serve our customer base by providing their expertise through customized graphics for the burial vault industry. Each project will be unique, and creativity will be a key skill in obtaining this position. The ideal applicant is local to the Valdese area.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

· Design burial vault carapace graphics, print on vinyl and apply to burial vault carapace. Also, design product books, price cards, showroom visuals and other marketing materials that represent our company for customer use in funeral homes.

· Create these materials using Adobe's Creative Suite.

· Produce drafts for review by customer and make revisions based on feedback.

· Review final productions for errors and ensure that final prints reflect customer specifications.

· Answer phones and take orders as necessary once successful candidate is trained in customer requirements.

Qualifications needed:

· Must be proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator. Previous experience with Roland printers and VersaWorks will be helpful.

· Must be able to work independently and complete office-related support tasks as assigned.

· Must have excellent time management skills in order to meet project deadlines. Must be able to juggle several projects simultaneously.

· Must have excellent communication and customer service skills.

· Must be able to work on weekends as necessary. Flexible scheduling during work week is possible.

Job Type: Full Time

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• On call ( 3 weekends per month)
• Must be willing to work in customer service one weekend per month

Experience:

• Graphic Design: 1 year (Preferred)
• Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator: 1 year (Preferred)

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
