Graphic Artist Position for Prepress Position in Printing Company

Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and energetic Graphic Artist position for prepress position in printing company. Qualified person needs to be proficient in Adobe Illustrator as well as Photoshop and possess a production mindset. Experience working with Pre-production workflow software and knowledge of how to use this system to setup files for press. Will need to understand how to use this software to create traps for colors, create separations and do the full setup for the prep work needed to make flexo printing plates. The current workflow system used is the Hybrid PACKZ. Knowledge of this will be a huge plus as well as current or past experience working with flexo printing and the complete processes involved. ****Pay will vary with experience*****

Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare print-ready files using industry-standard software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and CorelDRAW, ensuring accurate color management and layout design.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand project requirements, translating concepts into visually compelling designs aligned with branding guidelines.
• Conduct image editing, photo manipulation, and digital art creation to enhance visual appeal for various print media.
• Manage the entire prepress process, including typesetting, color calibration, proofing, and file verification to ensure flawless print production.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in graphic design with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in digital art, illustration, logo design, and branding projects.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Sketch, InVision, CorelDRAW, and other relevant design tools such as Figma and Adobe After Effects.
• Solid understanding of color management systems and print production processes including typesetting and layout design.
• Knowledge of web development languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript is a plus for integrated digital projects.
• Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate ideas clearly to clients and team members.
• Excellent attention to detail combined with the ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
