Graphic Designer/Production Artist

We are seeking an exceptional, dedicated, organized, and hard-working graphic artist/designer, who is capable of handling multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. We need someone with a creative, clean, and classic aesthetic style who can translate these qualities to our products and sales material. Painstaking attention to detail is a must.

Responsibilities

• Develop product concepts, illustrations, and logos, using software or by hand.
• Design layouts, including selection of colors, images, and typefaces into formats for our manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with sales team on product ideas and sales material.
• Incorporate changes recommended by clients or directors into final designs.
• Quality Control, review designs for errors before final production stages.
• Work independently, as well as with various departments to meet all project objectives.
• Follow documented processes for using layers, color names, and placed artwork.
• Adhering to style and brand guidelines with minimal errors.
• Provide design mock-ups for customer approvals.
• Create concepts and any other artwork files to help support the product line

Qualifications

• Highly proficient and knowledgeable with Adobe Illustrator CS6.
• Minimum 2 years design experience in a Mac-based agency or in-house design department.
• Minimum of 2 year proficiency using the following software programs: Adobe Photoshop, InDesign. Must be familiar with various digital art file formats in a Mac environment.
• Must have an EXTREME attention to detail while complying with strict deadlines with little margin for error.
• Juggle multiple/repetitive tasks and priorities and meet aggressive deadlines.
• Ability to apply understanding to carry out instructions.
• Ability to shift priorities as the business dictates.
• Demonstrate a serious commitment to accuracy and quality even while under pressure.
• Good time management skills.
• Have a professional and positive attitude, with strong work ethics and interpersonal skills.
• Freehand drawing/sketching skills are a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Additional Preferences:

Bachelor's or 2-year associate's art/design degree preferred (equivalent work experience always considered)

Basic Web design skills - either site design or web graphics

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
