Graphic Design Intern

POSITION SUMMARY

The Graphic Design Intern supports Liberty Alliance’s Creative team by producing visual content across multiple platforms, including print, digital, and motion graphics. This individual will work closely with designers and video editors to create compelling and consistent assets aligned with Liberty Alliance branding for use in events, marketing, social media, internal products, and presentations. This internship offers exposure to professional workflows, creative tools, and the opportunity to contribute to high-impact national security campaigns and defense industry engagements. POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow creative briefs and branding standards established by Liberty Alliance.
  • Assist with layout and design of digital and print materials using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • Support the creation of motion graphics and video assets using After Effects and Premiere Pro.
  • Help develop branded templates and materials for presentations, social media, and events.
  • Create mockups and prototypes in Figma for internal tools
  • Assist in organizing and managing design files, templates, and asset libraries.
  • Collaborate with designers, writers, and developers on multi-disciplinary creative projects.
  • Participate in creative reviews and critique sessions.
  • Contribute to low-fidelity and high-fidelity graphic assets for Unreal Engine 3D scene design.
  • Support photo and video editing tasks as needed.
  • Completes all other tasks and duties as needed to help drive Liberty Alliance’s Vision, fulfill our Mission, and abide by our organization’s values.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Visual Communication, or a closely related field
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects)
  • Familiarity with Figma and collaborative design tools.
  • Understanding of design fundamentals (color, layout, typography, visual hierarchy)
  • Team-focused, dependable, and organized
  • Eagerness to learn and take initiative
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills

PREFERRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Unreal Engine for basic scene layout or visual storytelling.
  • Understanding of storyboarding and digital animation principles.
  • Experience editing with Premiere Pro
  • Familiarity with print production processes and digital publishing.
  • 3D or game engine design familiarity (low-level modeling, asset integration, layout)

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be physically able to operate various machines and equipment, including computers, office equipment, telephones, etc. Physical demands are essentially those of sedentary work. Tasks may require extended periods at a keyboard or workstation. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.

Job Type: Internship

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
