Are you passionate about creative development and storytelling?

At Habitat for Humanity of Seattle-King & Kittitas Counties, one of the largest Habitat affiliates in the country, we’re looking for dynamic, solutions-oriented professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments, embrace challenges, and are dedicated to generating a lasting impact on affordable homeownership in the Puget Sound. Since 1986, we’ve created 1,000 housing solutions for more than 2,600 people and successfully advocated for fair housing policies at the city, county, and state levels. As we set our sights on doubling our impact and serving an additional 2,000 people by 2030, we need the right team members to help us get there.

Join us as the Graphic Designer I, where you will create and manage visual communications that support Habitat's marketing, fundraising, home sales, and community engagement efforts.

Your Impact:

  • Design, Brand & Creative Development:
    • Lead the development of visual assets across digital and print channels—including campaign materials, advertising, reports, presentations, mailers, social media graphics, event materials, and construction and retail signage.
    • Steward and apply Habitat SKKC’s visual identity in alignment with Habitat for Humanity International brand guidelines, ensuring consistent and effective use of the brand across departments and externally.
    • Concept and develop creative solutions that support marketing campaigns, storytelling, fundraising, and the promotion and sale of Habitat homes, including compelling advertising and marketing materials that help connect qualified buyers with homeownership opportunities.
    • Develop and maintain brand templates, toolkits, and shared assets to enable consistent design execution across teams.
  • Campaigns, Storytelling & Engagement:
    • Partner with Marketing & Communications and cross-functional teams to develop visual communications that support program visibility, home sales marketing, community engagement, fundraising, and advocacy initiatives.
    • Create compelling graphic materials—including digital and print advertising—that communicate the value and accessibility of Habitat homeownership and Home repair opportunities.
    • Translate complex information into clear, engaging visual storytelling that highlights Habitat homeowners, volunteers, partners, and community impact.
  • Collaboration & Project Management:
    • Serve as a creative partner to teams across the organization, translating program goals into strategic visual communications.
    • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously—from concept through final production—while meeting deadlines and maintaining high design standards.
    • Maintain organized design systems, files, and asset libraries to support efficient collaboration.
    • Coordinate with external vendors and production partners to ensure high-quality print and production outcomes.

What You Bring:

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of professional graphic design experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
  • Strong typography, layout, and visual storytelling skills across digital and print media.
  • Experience designing for nonprofits, advocacy campaigns, or mission-driven organizations preferred.
  • Experience creating materials for fundraising campaigns or donor communications preferred.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing platforms and social media design best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail.
  • Ability to translate complex ideas into clear and accessible visual communications.
  • Experience with Asana or similar project management tools is a plus.
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and Habitat’s mission.
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
