Graphic Designer - 100% Remote

Job Description: Looking for a talented person that can design and post marketing communications.... this person will multitask and should have a good amount of time for us daily - typically 9am to 1pm PST (non exclusively) and do good work to help us make our event and sales oriented businesses successful. We seek a designer experienced with working with our tools: Klaviyo, Shopify, Shopify Mail and Mail Chimp.... as we have immediate need and no time for a learning curve.

- event pages - design assets - build call to action - good customer experience.

- design brocures, post cards, order them from printer services.

We have had the same organized, hard working and efficient designer for 5 years. She has currently fallen ill and maybe gone for a while.... but she will rejoin us when she is at full strength - and we plan to keep both designers part time. We need someone quickly - as she went down unexpectedly and we need to give her time to heal.... please do not apply if your not a strong and well informed designer - and must have shopify experience.

We are a highly structured and very diverse business that works to be very organized.

Ideal candidate would like to make us part of your portfolio but you have enough bandwidth to work with us during our ideal work windows and beyond.

Designers looking for another client - this is ideal.

We have two Shopify stores we service.

We need items posted efficiently - details researched - and accuracy.... to the penny.

You will be given a list of needs - you can do them as the work presents itself... some weeks will be heavier than others... we see 10-20 hours per week.

This must be a single hire - not an agency.

Must live in the USA

Must be able to respond to our Whatapp messages quickly.

Ideal candidate has their own office, computer, design tools, and bills me 10-99, and learns about our work patterns.... and adjusts to our needs.

Doing things the way we are doing them and then finding ways to improve our business - are appreciated.

Speed - accuracy - efficiency - trust - we need to know you have our collective interest at heart. We are small dynamic business that lead classes, trips, experiences, and we sell wine on our wine shop (also on shopify).

We create engaging events and need a designer that gets our clients, gets our goals, and can design to attract similar customers. A designer that can also market, and help us communicate our value proposition and our quality.

Skills

• Knowledge of SHOPIFY (we unfortunately can not afford the time to train here)
• You have a portfolio of graphic designs that show your ability (no illustrations please)
• Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop)
• A keen eye for aesthetics and details
• Excellent communication skills & spelling
• Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
• Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plus (but not required)
• Must have strong command of proper English and spelling is a must.
• Knowledge of Los Angeles and food and wine are both a plus (but not required)

Our clients: The wineries, the restaurants and wine shops, and anyone that loves premium wine events.

While the work is remote - this designer is part of a team and need to be a good team player.

Ideally candidate can attend a team meeting on occassional Tuesdays at 12:15 PM for 30-45 mins and be very present....

Pay: we do have long term intentions - we start our designers off at $40 and will review wages in time. Please do not apply if $40 is not sufficient. If your worth more - you will make more in time.

We do not hire agency's - we work as a team and require designer to be available to work with our Los Angeles timelines. We love designers that have other clients - we can work around many issues. Command of the English language is critical - especially since the owner (me) has many shortcomings... I need to hire strength.
