Writing Pad, the #1 online creative writing school in the US is actively seeking a part-time, talented graphic designer to assist us with branding (identity, logos, style guides) as well as web, social media & video design.

This position can be done anywhere but our preference is someone LA based.

Job Description:
The graphic designer, creates print, social, website & advertising assets while assisting with brand management & design.

Requirements:

• 3 years experience in graphic design & a strong portfolio showcasing branding, print, social media (instagram, TikTok) content, website design, motion graphics & streaming ads.
• Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere).
• Meet onsite for meetings & training sessions when needed.
• Strong conceptual/design skills, execution showing a mastery/understanding of layout, theory, typography & color.
• Curiosity & willingness to learn about writing (TV, fiction/nonfiction, screenwriting, copywriting & podcasting).
• Excellent communication, collaboration & presentation skills.
• Detail-orientedness
• A great eye
• Own a current working computer and phone with a strong internet connection.
• Willingness to participate in meetings over zoom with your camera on
• Willingness to take feedback.
• Flexibility
• A BA in graphic design (or equivalent work experience) preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Develop creative images for social media (Instagram, TikTok) posts and edit videos Construct captivating branding suites, including logos, visual identities, and brand guidelines.
• Create visually stunning website.
• Collaborate with management & technology team to understand project requirements and deliver exceptional results.
• Stay updated on design trends, tools, and techniques to continuously elevate our creative output.

Employment type: part-time (no 1099 unless you have other clients and can prove contractor status)

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
