Graphic Designer Position for Glik’s
Glik’s is looking for a creative, fashion enthusiastic, team-minded Graphic Designer to join the marketing team. This role is tasked with bringing our brand to life across in-store displays, digital platforms, and seasonal campaigns. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with creative vision to produce designs that inspire customers and support sales initiatives as part of a supportive, hands-on team.
1. Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1–3+ years of professional design experience — preferably in retail, fashion, or e-commerce.
- A strong portfolio showcasing branding, digital, and print work relevant to retail (e.g., signage, packaging, email graphics).
2. Technical Skills
- Familiarity with Canva for team collaboration.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, Photoshop & InDesign
- Knowledge of file formats, color modes (CMYK/RGB), and print production processes
- Understanding of web/digital specs: optimized images, social media sizing, and responsive graphics for e-commerce.
- Basic photo editing and retouching skills.
3. Creative & Conceptual Skills
- Ability to translate brand guidelines into consistent, eye-catching designs.
- Skill in layout, typography, color theory, and brand consistency to appeal to retail customers.
- Awareness of current retail and fashion design trends.
4. Business & Retail Awareness
- Understanding of merchandising needs: signage hierarchy, call-to-action design, and point-of-purchase visuals.
- Familiarity with marketing channels and their specific needs (in-store, email, social, web banners) and how design drives sales.
- Ability to design for tight deadlines tied to sales promotions, product launches, and seasonal resets.
5. Soft Skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to proof for accuracy and (prices, promo dates, brand tone, spelling).
- Time-management and prioritization in a fast-paced retail calendar.
- Collaboration with marketing, e-commerce, buyers, and store operations teams.
- Clear communication skills to present design rationale and accept feedback.
- Adaptability to shift between projects (e.g., window signage, email banners, web ads).
6. Other Nice-to-Have Skills (Not Always Required)
- Basic photography or video skills for content creation.
- Experience with HTML/CSS for e-commerce graphics or emails.
- Knowledge of project management or communication tools (e.g., Asana, Teams).

Pay: $39,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
