Job Description:

Skillfully complete wide variety of tasks for an array of unique clients. A typical week will involve designing assets in the following categories; digital ads, emails, websites, landing pages, organic social posts, mobile web apps, brochures, billboards, presentation decks, document templates, branding projects and miscellaneous needs as they arise. You will work closely with the Client Strategist team and the other in-house designers to deliver quality and timely work. At SQRD, your will will be continually changing and moving at a faster pace than a traditional in-house position. If that feels stressful to you, this is not a great fit.

Required skills/abilities/experience:

• 4+ years of UX and design work experience, with either in-house marketing teams or agencies.
• Solid dexterity in the Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
• Experience and ability to perform in the following disciplines; web design, print design, logo creation and typography.
• Ability to pivot and work quickly to meet client deadlines.
• An understanding marketing funnels and the key part that design plays in closing leads.

Responsibilities:

• You have a killer visual eye AND a clever, strategic approach to all challenges with a high standard for quality design work.
• Take strategic designs from scratch paper to a completed project with the ability to see the big picture and improve upon it.
• Work closely with web developers to design and produce incredible landing pages, websites, and occasional web apps.
• Work closely with a client strategist in ALL phases of projects—strategy, concept, execution, and implementation.
• Coordinate print projects with presses, gathering quotes and choosing paper stocks/materials that enhance the design and meet client needs.
• Follow and maintain client brand identity characteristics like typography, photography, and color, improving existing branding or creating new brand identities when necessary.
• Be a wildly proactive and also a humble, kind, and positive person.
• You take the reins confidently and fight for an idea, but also know when to gracefully accept feedback.
• You can balance “thinking outside the box” and pushing the boundaries of creativity while still meeting the needs of the client.
• You communicate clearly and professionally both internally and externally when emailing clients (sharing occasional memes and gifs to your coworkers on Slack is a plus).
