About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and visionary Team Lead - Motion who can lead, inspire, and elevate our video and motion graphics function. This is not just an execution role - it is a leadership position where creative excellence meets strategic influence.
You will drive innovation, set new benchmarks, and collaborate closely with top management and cross-functional teams. As the guiding force for the department, you will mentor motion designers, editors, and scriptwriters while shaping the future of motion storytelling with a deep understanding of both traditional craft and emerging AI advancements.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Knowhow

• Drive AI-enabled workflows - from idea to execution using advanced AI tools.
• Lead and mentor motion designers, animators, video editors, and scriptwriters.
• Bring production-house-level expertise to elevate scripts, narrative flow, and output quality.
• Set high standards of creativity, ownership, and professionalism.
• Build a culture of collaboration, learning, experimentation, and innovation across the team.

Creative Direction & Execution

• Conceptualize and ideate video concepts, reels, case studies, and product launch films across B2C & B2B technology clients.
• Deliver AI-led videos at scale - 90% AI + 10% traditional execution from scripting to storyboarding to delivery.
• Apply strong traditional ('old school') creative skills using leading software for video, animation, and motion graphics.
• Continuously push creative boundaries with new techniques, technologies, and styles.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with copy, design, brand, and strategy teams to bring integrated ideas to life.
• Partner with top management to align creative output with business and brand objectives.
• Adapt visual ideas across various platforms - digital, social, experiential, and more.

Innovation & Trendspotting

• Stay ahead of global design and motion trends.
• Experiment with AI and emerging technologies to enhance creative workflows.
• Suggest innovative storytelling approaches and execution techniques proactively.

Strategic Thinking & Problem Solving

• Balance creative ambition with practical, high-quality execution.
• Provide solutions in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
• Translate business needs into compelling visual narratives.

Qualifications & Skills

• 6+ years of experience across AI, ideation, motion graphics, video, and animation.
• Versatile 'jack-of-all-trades' mindset with deep expertise in motion design and AI workflows.
• Experience working in or with a Production House is a must.
• Strong leadership qualities with experience managing creative teams.
• Advanced knowledge of animation, design, and editing software.
• Strong understanding of AI-powered creative tools and their industry impact.
• Exceptional conceptualization, storytelling, and visualization skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
