Job Description – Graphic Designer (with AI Expertise)

Role Purpose
The Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating visually compelling designs that strengthen brand identity, support marketing campaigns, and drive audience engagement. This role requires strong creative skills, technical expertise, and advanced knowledge of AI-based design tools to accelerate workflows, improve output quality, and bring innovation to visual content. The designer will collaborate with content creators, editors, and the marketing team to ensure cohesive and high-quality visuals across all platforms.
Key Responsibilities
1. Creative Design & Visual Development
- Design social media creatives, posters, brochures, banners, presentations, and promotional materials.
- Create visually engaging graphics that align with brand guidelines and campaign objectives.
- Develop creative concepts and visual styles for marketing campaigns and brand storytelling.
2. Digital Content Design
- Design layouts for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube thumbnails, and website graphics.
- Create infographics, carousel posts, digital ads, and motion-ready elements for video editors.
- Optimize designs for performance in Meta and Google ad campaigns.
3. AI-Powered Design & Innovation
- Use AI tools to create concepts, backgrounds, illustrations, and design assets.
- Apply AI workflows for image enhancement, background removal, colour correction, and visual refinement.
- Stay updated on AI design trends and recommend new tools for improving output.
4. Brand Identity & Consistency
- Maintain and evolve the brand’s visual identity across all mediums.
- Ensure consistency in typography, color palette, iconography, and overall graphic style.
- Update brand assets, templates, and design guidelines as needed.
5. Collaboration & Project Execution
- Work closely with content writers and marketing teams to understand requirements.
- Coordinate with video editors to provide graphical assets, icons, and layouts.
- Support offline campaigns with print-ready designs, event banners, and standees.
6. File & Asset Management
- Organize design files, templates, raw assets, and project folders systematically.
- Maintain a library of icons, elements, illustrations, and reusable design components.
- Ensure proper version control, naming conventions, and backups.
7. Quality Control & Timely Delivery
- Review all designs for accuracy, clarity, and visual appeal before submission.
- Ensure all deliverables meet technical specs and brand standards.
- Meet deadlines and manage multiple design requests efficiently.
Performance Metrics (KPIs)
- Design Output – Number of creatives delivered monthly.
- Design Quality – Feedback from Creative Head/Marketing Manager.
- Engagement Metrics – Performance of designs on digital platforms.
- Brand Consistency – Adherence to visual identity across materials.
- Turnaround Time – Speed and efficiency in delivering creatives.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, and preferred knowledge of After Effects/Figma.
- Strong sense of layout, color theory, typography, and visual hierarchy.
- Creativity with attention to detail and aesthetics.
- Ability to convert complex information into simple, visual formats (infographics).
- Knowledge of designing for both digital and print mediums.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle fast-paced campaign demands.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or related fields (preferred).
- 1–2 years of experience in graphic design and digital content creation.
- A strong design portfolio is mandatory.
