The Role: Assistant/Intern - Communications
Role Overview :
As a Communications - Assistant/Intern, you will support the day-to-day execution of Antarang’s internal and external communications. This is an entry-level role designed for someone who is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and excited to work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. You will assist in content creation, coordination, and asset management while learning how communications function within a growing social impact organization. The role requires strong follow-through, openness to feedback, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Communications Support & Coordination
- Act Support the Communications team in responding to internal communication requests using defined briefing formats
- Help track incoming requests and ensure timely follow-ups with relevant teams
- Assist in maintaining trackers and documentation for communications workflows
- Coordinate with team members to ensure information is shared accurately and on time.
2. Social Media Support
- Assist in creating basic social media assets, based on existing templates and briefs
- Support scheduling and posting content across social media platforms as per the content calendar
- Help collect data for monthly social media performance reports
- Coordinate with team members to gather content, images, and updates for social media use.
3. Internal Communications Support
- Assist in drafting and formatting internal communication messages and updates
- Support the creation and compilation of internal newsletters and team updates
- Maintain organized systems for assets, templates, and content repositories (Google Drive, Notion, Canva, Figma, Google Slides)
- Support process documentation and improvements for internal communication workflows and brand compliance
- Help maintain organized folders, brand assets, and templates across Google Drive and Notion
- Ensure basic brand consistency while using existing templates and guidelines.
4. Content & Design Assistance
- Support the design of simple visual assets such as posters, internal presentations, event collaterals, and social media posts
- Assist senior team members in editing and formatting documents and decks
- Help with photo and video sorting, basic editing, and file management after events or field visits.
5. Team & Event Support
- Provide on-ground support during Antarang events, workshops, or field visits, including coordination, documentation, and basic photography or videography
- Participate in team meetings, reviews, and learning sessions with openness and curiosity
- Be flexible to support additional tasks related to communications and documentation as required.
Profile Requisites:
- Bachelor’s degree in any field (fresh graduates encouraged to apply)
- Internship, volunteer, or college-level experience in communications, media, design, or content creation is a plus
- Basic proficiency in Canva and comfort using Google Workspace tools
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English; Hindi or Marathi is an advantage
- Willingness to learn, take feedback positively, and grow within the role
- Organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a team-oriented environment.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
