Responsible for creating appealing visual concepts for branding, marketing, and media channels to communicate business objectives and programs. This role requires collaboration with cross-departmental teams, strict adherence to brand guidelines, and expertise in graphic design tools. Must be able to produce impactful designs from concept to completion, meet project deadlines, and continuously evolve skills to stay current with industry trends and best practices.

JOB DUTIES
  • Understands the basic principles, theories and concepts related to the profession and learns how to apply them within the ERCOT culture.
  • Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.
  • Contributes to specific objectives and outcomes as directed.
ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES
  • Develops aesthetically appealing visual concepts, graphics, layouts, and illustrations for various media channels
  • Ensures all designs consistently reflect brand guidelines, including typography, color, and messaging
  • Effectively utilizes graphic design software tools to create and refine digital and print materials
  • Communicates with internal staff to gather information to improve user experience and user interaction through graphics
  • Creates graphics to support ERCOT websites, social media channels, and presentations
  • Tests and edits graphic sizes and dimensions on multiple channels and media including mobile and social media platforms
  • Creates wireframes/prototypes, user flow, and process flow to communicate interaction of the design process
  • Demonstrates usability standards in all new and existing projects
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects, from initial concept discussion to final delivery, ensuring timely completion
  • Able to effectively present concepts, incorporate feedback, and revise as necessary to achieve desired outcomes
  • Performs production and quality control of graphic collateral to meet business standards and objectives
  • Brings strong, in-depth knowledge of print design and production processes, with a solid understanding of related components and best practices
  • Creates clear, visually compelling graphics and charts that translate complex technical details and processes into easily understandable visuals
  • Leverages project management and workflow tools to track time, monitor progress, and coordinate work across multiple teams
  • Must have excellent communication and relationship-building skills
EXPERIENCE
  • Requires minimum 2 years job related work experience in excess of degree requirements
  • Requires minimum 2 years of professional experience in graphic or digital design
  • Requires strong portfolio demonstrating diverse media range, creativity, and attention to detail
  • Requires proficiency with one or more graphic design tools: Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, InDesign, AX, or Illustrator
EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's Degree : Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field (Required)
  • or a combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge to a major in such fields is required

Expected Salary Range:
$68,471 - $112,954
