Graphic Designer

Oklahoma Magazine is seeking an experienced, deadline-oriented individual to join our graphic design team in a part-time or contract position.

Duties of the graphics designer include, but are not limited to:

· Assisting with the design of print and web ads

· Assisting with the layout and design of editorial, utilizing Adobe Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, Premier Pro, Dropbox and Illustrator

· Assisting in the preparation of magazine for press – thus should be familiar with general magazine production

· Proofing magazine for quality and design consistency

· Creating images and video content for social media

· Creating marketing materials

· Uploading content to website

· Utilizing generative AI software for design purposes

Graphics staff required skills:

· Ability to prepare rough drafts and present ideas

· In-depth experience with and knowledge of Adobe Suite

· Ability to create and test graphics across various media

· Ability to use generative AI software for design

· Ability to amend designs after feedback

· Organization, assertiveness and comfort with deadlines

· Ability to work both independently and with a team under minimal supervision

Required education and experience:

· 5+ years of graphic design experience with a strong portfolio

· Ability to create visual elements such as logos, original images and illustrations

· Ability to design in different styles according to clients needs

· Familiarity with social media platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram

· Knowledge of Mac OS, AdobeCreative Cloud (primarily InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premier Pro), and DropBox

· Knowledge of generative AI software

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $43,482.05 - $52,365.49 per year
