Job Title Graphic Designer (Exempt, at will, with hybrid possibilities)

Summary
Design digital and print materials: magazine spreads, brochures, flyers, social media posts, webpages, posters, signage etc. Develop logos, infographics, and custom illustrations.
Manage and coordinate posts for Province social media accounts (excluding Vocations).
Primary Responsibilities
Brand Development and Consistency
· Create and maintain visual brand guidelines.
Design Creation
· Design digital and print materials that incorporate Catholic symbolism, Dominican saints and the heritage of the Order of Preachers.
· Synthesize Dominican spirituality and the Catholic faith into mission-driven design concepts.
Content Collaboration
· Create visual designs at the request of Office of Mission Advancement (OMA) Leadership.
· Interpret creative briefs and turn concepts into compelling visuals.
· Create visuals for Provincial social media accounts.
Web and Digital Design
· Create graphics for websites and email campaigns.
· Design/update Provincial website(s).
· Optimize images and assets for digital platforms.
Software and File Management
· Maintain organized file systems and archives of design work.
· Prepare final artwork for production and distribution.

Skills
· Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing
· Creativity and ability to tell stories visually and evoke emotion or action
· Competencies in social media best practices
· Basic applications of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; Adobe Acrobat, Wix website platform
· Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and CC Express)
· Familiarity with web basics (HTML/CSS is a plus but not required.)
· Design proficiency
· Strong conceptual skills and a sharp eye for detail
· Ability to present and explain design concepts clearly
· Knowledge of layout, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy
· Understanding of print production processes and digital media requirements
· Proper handling of confidential and sensitive information
· Collaborative mindset and openness to feedback
· Competence with organization and file management
· Strong organizational and prioritization skills
· Ability to meet tight deadlines amid shifting priorities
· Willingness to adapt and learn new skills as needed
Education
Education required: Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Communications, or related
discipline, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
Education preferred: Graduate studies in Communications, Catholic Theology, or Ministry
Experience
· 2+ years of professional experience with graphic design or communications work
· Experience working in a Catholic organization is a plus with a portfolio of work that demonstrates engagement with religious or theological themes
· Knowledge of the Dominican Order a plus
· Respect for teachings and beliefs of the Roman Catholic Church
Salary range
· $50,000-60,000 annual commensurate with experience
· Comprehensive benefit package including vacation and sick time, health, dental, and vision insurance and 403(b) retirement savings plan
