Role Overview
The In-Person Graphic Designer is responsible for all artwork preparation, customer design communication, and internal creative work. This role ensures every order is production-ready while also supporting the company’s branding, website, and marketing efforts.
This is a hybrid role: production + creative + business support.
Core Responsibilities
1. Order Artwork Processing (CRM & Online Orders)
- Review all incoming artwork from:
- CRM system
- Online orders
Check for:
- Resolution issues
- Missing files
- Incorrect sizing or formats
- Prepare all files for production
2. Vector Conversion & File Setup
- Retrace low-quality artwork using Adobe Illustrator
- Convert designs into clean vector files
- Organize files properly for production
Export:
- Print-ready vector PDFs
- Editable source files (internal use)
3. Customer Design Communication
- Send proofs for approval
- Handle revisions quickly
- Communicate clearly and professionally
Rule: No job moves to production without approval.
4. Proof & Mockup Creation
- Create clean, accurate mockups for:
- Apparel
- Signage
- Promotional products
Ensure:
- Proper sizing
- Placement
- Color accuracy
5. Production Preparation
- Prepare artwork for:
- Screen printing
- Digital / DTF printing
- Embroidery (notes for digitizing)
- Large format printing
- Maintain organized production folders
6. Walk-In Customer Support
- Assist in-store customers with:
- Design ideas
- Quick edits
- Visualizing products
- Provide recommendations to improve designs
- Help guide customers toward better results
7. Internal Graphic Design (Marketing & Brand)
- Website graphics
- Social media content
- Marketing materials
- Ads and promotions
- Internal branding assets
- Maintain consistency with Impact Prints brand identity
8. Team Coordination
- Communicate with:
- Production team
- Order management
- Notify team when the artwork is:
- Approved
- Ready for production
Tools & Requirements (Non-Negotiable)
- Adobe Illustrator (Expert Level Required)
- Adobe Photoshop (Strong Working Knowledge Required)
No Canva or similar tools
This role requires professional design software and production-level file preparation skills.
