Job Title: Graphic Designer
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Status: Part-Time; 10-20 hours per week
Reports To: Senior Manager of Design
Job Purpose: Create Museum-branded materials, both print and digital
Time Allocation: Monday - Friday

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and create visual concepts, layouts, and designs for a wide range of mediums, including digital platforms, print materials, social media, presentations, etc.;
  • Produce high-quality designs that adhere to Magic House brand guidelines and effectively communicate the desired message;
  • Review and revise designs based on feedback from Magic House team members while maintaining an open and collaborative approach to feedback;
  • Maintain an archival system of design work;
  • Participate in trainings as required by the organization;
  • Performs other duties as assigned;
Qualifications
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field; or three years of equivalent experience
  • One to three years of experience as a Graphic Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work;
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, etc.);
  • MacOS proficiency required
  • HTML/CSS knowledge (a plus but not required);
  • Strong conceptual and creative thinking;
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills;
  • Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines;
  • Knowledge of current design trends and best practices;
  • Experience in both print and digital design;
