ABOUT ALCHEMI

Working primarily in the tourism, wedding, commercial and B2B service industries, Alchemi Design is an award-winning brand and marketing company. Alchemi serves as the design agency that develops comprehensive marketing plans, encompassing brand design, social media, email campaigns, website design, brochures, and in-house marketing materials. We are a small and personal design firm that values positive and creative individuals.

ABOUT THE POSITION

As the Graphic Designer, you will:

  • Brainstorm to develop and create marketing and design campaigns for print, digital, social media, email design, website, and more.
  • Strong design skills to create for print and digital projects in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator.
  • Design and build email templates and campaigns using tools like Mailchimp, and Adobe products as needed. Create animated GIFs, and write industry-relevant copy and subject lines that align with social and digital strategy. Ensure emails are tested, linked, and mobile-optimized.
  • Liaise with clients in the tourism and hospitality industry to develop high-end brochures, retrieve ad components, and create design projects with their current brand.
  • Manage social media platforms and content creation, including concept ideation, copywriting, social media strategy, and scheduling posts. Research industry-specific content for social and email marketing; organize content calendars.
  • Coordinate and develop websites from planning to launch, including sitemap development, keyword research, and SEO best practices. Design and build pages in Wordpress + Elementor. Include our SEO integration and collaborate with hosting provider for smooth domain transitions and testing site launches.
  • Use project management tools Dropbox, Notion, Clockify, to track deadlines, updates, and communications.
  • Regularly update client website plugins and themes and troubleshoot website errors.
  • Develop comprehensive brand identities, including logos and brand guidelines and ensure consistency across all deliverables.
  • Create short-form video content using Premiere Pro and Adobe Express. Experience in Premiere Pro is a plus.
  • Review and interpret analytics from web and social campaigns with team to inform future designs and strategy.
  • Maintain organized file structures for client assets and design archives in shared drives.

Our ideal candidate would have a:

  • BA in Graphic Design, Studio Art, or the equivalent
  • Relevant portfolio samples, or a portfolio website
  • Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator)
  • Knowledge and understanding of HTML and developing Wordpress sites
  • Strong copywriting skills for social media and website copy
  • Understanding and ability to package and prep files for print
  • Strong knowledge of social media marketing and strategy
  • Ability to manage projects, deadlines, and priorities independently
  • Flexible in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude, creative eye, and proactive mindset
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate with clients

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour
