Graphic Designer and Print Press Operator

Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Graphic Designer and Print Press Operator to join our creative team. This dual-role position combines innovative graphic design with hands-on print production, requiring a versatile individual capable of delivering high-quality visual content across various mediums. The ideal candidate will possess strong artistic skills, technical expertise in print press operations or a willingness to learn, and a passion for creating compelling visual stories that align with brand objectives.

Duties

• Develop and execute creative concepts for branding, marketing campaigns, digital art, and print advertising projects.
• Design logos, layouts, typography, and visual assets using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Operate print press and bindery equipment efficiently to produce high-quality printed materials, ensuring accurate color management and quality control.
• Prepare digital files for printing, including typesetting, layout design, and photo manipulation, adhering to specifications for sign manufacturing and other print products.
• Manage color theory applications and color management techniques to ensure accurate color reproduction in both digital and print formats.
• Assist in the setup, calibration, and operation of printing presses to meet production deadlines without compromising quality.
• Answer phones and enter orders on an as needed basis.
• Ability to lift 50lbs with accommodation.
• Light cleaning on an as needed basis.

Skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Strong knowledge of art direction, branding strategies, typography, layout design, and visual storytelling.
• Experience with motion graphics creation using Adobe After Effects; video editing skills are a plus.
• Ability to produce digital art including photo manipulation and digital illustration; understanding of color management and color theory principles.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of sign manufacturing processes and print press operations for high-quality production output are a PLUS but we are willing to train the right candidate.
• Extreme attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $21.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
