Primary Role:
The Graphic Designer serves as a key creative professional within the TMSA Marketing & Communications Department. This role is responsible for producing high-quality visual content that reflects TMSA’s brand, enhances communication with families and communities, and elevates the organization’s overall visibility across print, digital, and social platforms.
The Graphic Designer will create graphics for campaigns, school events, recruitment, social media, board reports, presentations, signage, and special initiatives such as AI Labs, STEAM programs, Signature Academies, and regional marketing needs. The ideal candidate brings strong design skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of branding in a fast-paced educational environment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Multimedia Design, or related field

Minimum 2–4 years of professional design experience (education sector preferred but not required)

Strong portfolio demonstrating brand-aligned, high-quality design work

Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Canva, and similar platforms

Experience creating social media graphics, print materials, banners, signage, digital ads, and presentation templates

Working knowledge of typography, layout, color theory, and design principles

Familiarity with video editing, motion graphics, and photography preferred

Experience in designing for web, social, and mobile formats

Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and revision cycles

Strong creativity with the ability to translate concepts into visually appealing deliverables

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Highly organized with attention to detail and brand consistency

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Proficiency in preparing files for print and digital production

Understanding of brand identity, marketing strategy, and audience engagement

Duties and Responsibilities:

Create visually compelling graphics that support TMSA’s mission, events, programs, and communication goals.

Design marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, banners, posters, social media content, newsletters, and web assets.

Develop templates and branded design systems for school and regional use.

Ensure brand consistency across all materials for all TMSA campuses and platforms.

Refresh and evolve brand assets as needed to support network-wide initiatives.

Produce graphics for TMSA’s website, email blasts, parent communications, and social media channels.

Collaborate with the Marketing Director to design content for campaigns, student recruitment, announcements, and event promotion.

Create animations, GIFs, and short visual content for digital engagement.

Assist with photography and basic video editing when needed.

Prepare files for print and coordinate with vendors on production specifications.

Design signage, step-and-repeat banners, event programs, certificates, and collateral for school events, board meetings, graduation ceremonies, and community engagements.

Assist with visual displays and branding for AI expo, STEAM fairs, leadership events, and signature programs.

Support academic, operations, and regional teams by designing materials for presentations, academic reports, and special initiatives.

Collaborate with principals and department leaders to ensure their visual communication needs are met while staying within brand guidelines.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT & WORKFLOW

Manage a pipeline of design requests, communicate timelines, and ensure projects meet deadlines.

Attend marketing team meetings, brainstorm creative solutions, and contribute to multi-channel campaigns.

Maintain organized digital libraries of assets, templates, and project files.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Participate in professional development and stay current on design trends, educational branding, and digital media tools.

Provide design support for network-wide campaigns including enrollment, recruitment, and fundraising initiatives.
