Graphic Designer- Book Formatting Specialist

About the Role

Prayan Animation Studio is seeking a creative and versatile Graphic Designer with 2-3 years of professional experience, who has strong expertise in book design, layout, and formatting, along with basic skills in social media posters, motion graphics and video editing.

This role is ideal for a designer who enjoys working on diverse creative projects — from beautifully formatted children’s books and illustrated publications to engaging social media and video content that bring stories to life.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and format books, eBooks, and illustrated publications for print and digital platforms like Amazone KDP.

•Create page layouts, covers, and visual styles that align with project tone and target audiences (especially children’s and educational content).

•Collaborate with the illustration and animation teams to ensure visual consistency across print and screen media.

•Design social media creatives, marketing materials, and presentation decks as needed.

•Create motion graphics and simple video edits using Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro.

•Manage multiple design projects, meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.

Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field.

•2-3 years of professional experience in graphic design, with a portfolio showcasing book formatting and layout work.

•Expert level proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

•Proficiency in Adobe after Effects and Premiere Pro.

•Strong understanding of typography, layout principles, and color theory.

•Experience in preparing files for print and digital publishing (PDF, EPUB, etc.).

•Excellent attention to detail, creativity, and a collaborative attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

•Experience with children’s books, illustrated stories, or educational content.

•Familiarity with publishing workflows and multi-format output.

•Interest in animation or storytelling design will be an added advantage.

Schedule: Day shift.

Ability to commute / Relocate.

• Trivandrum, Kerala: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work.

Experience: 2- 3Years

Expected Start Date: Immediate Joining.
