Graphic Designer Cum Draftman

Job Summary

The Designer cum Draftsman is responsible for preparing creative designs and detailed technical drawings for projects, ensuring accuracy, functionality, and compliance with client requirements and company standards. The role combines design creativity with drafting expertise to support project execution and production.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual and detailed designs based on client requirements and project specifications.
• Develop accurate 2D and 3D drawings using design and drafting software.
• Create shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and as-built drawings where required.
• Coordinate with project managers, production teams, and clients to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
• Revise drawings and designs according to comments and site conditions.
• Conduct site measurements and surveys when necessary.
• Ensure drawings comply with technical standards, safety requirements, and company procedures.
• Prepare material layouts, cutting lists, and production details.
• Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and project files.
• Support project estimation and planning with technical drawings and design input.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Architecture, Interior Design, Graphic Design, or related field.
• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in design and drafting.
• Experience in signage, advertising, interior fit-out, or fabrication industry is preferred.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, 3D Max, SketchUp, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar software.
• Strong knowledge of technical drawing standards and drafting practices.
• Good understanding of materials and fabrication processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects.

Working Conditions

• Office and site-based work as required.
• Coordination with production and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution.
