Job Summary
Our small corporate team is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Freelance/Part-Time Graphic Designer to create and produce visual branded materials for the company and its licensees in the home furnishings industry. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of design, layout, and file preparation for both print and digital platforms, and is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

Create design deliverables for print and digital platforms:

• Print: Technical documents, brochures, banners, display graphics, advertisements, sales materials, newsletters, postcards, and other collateral
• Digital: Social media graphics (promotional, educational, informational), infographics, web graphics, and presentation decks

Ensure all materials align with and reinforce the company’s brand identity

Handle assigned projects independently from start to finish or contribute to ongoing projects as needed, delivering accurate, organized files for print, web, or digital platforms

Skills & Qualifications

Software Proficiency (Required):

• Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat)
• Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)

Software Proficiency (Beneficial, but not required):

• Canva
• Adobe After Effects or similar motion graphics application

Technical & Design Skills:

• Strong design, conceptual, and visual communication skills
• Solid understanding of layout principles, visual hierarchy, and readability
• Strong knowledge of print production and pre-press processes
• Experience creating assets for social media platforms, including sizing, formatting, and best practices
• Basic photo retouching skills required; advanced retouching a plus
• Knowledge of package design and/or working with packaging die lines & templates
• Experience with font management and archiving systems
• Awareness of current graphic design trends

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Education

• Degree in graphic design or a related field, with up-to-date knowledge of design tools and industry trends.

Experience

• Minimum of five years of graphic design experience in an agency or corporate environment.

Availability

• Flexible but consistent schedule, 25–30 hours per week depending on project needs.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 30.0 per week
