Position Title: Graphic Designer I

JOB SUMMARY:
The Graphic Designer plays a key role in supporting State Employees Credit Union's (State ECU) brand and advancing the strategic goals of the Marketing Department. This position is responsible for maintaining the visual identity of the State ECU brand across digital and print channels and producing high-quality creative assets for marketing campaigns, product promotions, organizational initiatives, and events.
Working collaboratively with the marketing team, the Graphic Designer serves as a primary designer and secondary support for photography and video production, helping to ensure consistent, engaging, and on-brand visual storytelling across all platforms. This role contributes directly to enhancing State ECU's culture, community presence, and Member experience.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Apply strong knowledge of graphic design principles, industry best practices, and emerging trends to produce compelling creative.

Maintain and uphold State ECU brand standards across all visual communications.

Design and produce high-quality artwork and graphics for advertisements, collateral materials, direct mail, email campaigns, websites, social media, branch displays, signage, presentations, and event materials.

Collaborate with marketing team members on campaign development, creative concepts, and promotional strategies.

Serve as secondary support for photography and video production, assisting with planning, shooting, editing, and post-production as needed.

Capture staged and candid photography of staff, Members, and events to support marketing, communications, and internal initiatives when needed.

Assist in editing and producing short-form and long-form video content for promotional and educational purposes.

Coordinate closely with the Digital Content Specialist to ensure consistency, efficiency, and alignment in visual storytelling.

Prepare creative assets for compliance review and secure final approvals prior to production and

distribution.

Support branch marketing efforts, including the creation of digital content for in-branch televisions and displays.

Manage print production schedules, timelines, and deliverables to ensure accurate and timely execution.

Work with external vendors and partners to coordinate printing, advertising placements, and production needs.

Maintain organized creative files, templates, and documentation of design processes and

workflows.

Develop a strong understanding of State ECU products, services, and differentiators to support

effective marketing communications.

Stay current on design, photography, and video trends, tools, and technologies, recommending enhancements when appropriate.

Complete assignments independently, manage multiple priorities, and take initiative to support department goals.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Adobe Acrobat Pro, etc.).

Strong eye for design, layout, typography, and visual storytelling.

In-depth knowledge of print production processes, including file preparation, proofing, pre-press, vendor coordination, and quality control.

Hands-on experience managing print projects from concept through final delivery.

Competent in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Proficient in photography, including lighting, composition, and post-production editing.

Working knowledge of video editing and motion graphics principles.

Familiar with HTML, CSS, and web development tools is desired.

Strong project management, organization, time management, and prioritization skills.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.

Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Job Related Travel - As required.
Education/Experience:
-
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field, and progressively responsible experience in graphic design and marketing.

Experience in financial services, healthcare, or regulated industries preferred, but not required.
