Position Purpose:
The Graphic Designer II is responsible for developing high-quality visual assets that support brand strategy, marketing initiatives, trade shows, digital campaigns, product literature, and corporate communications. This role combines advanced design expertise with strong conceptual thinking, project ownership, and collaboration among cross-functional teams.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and produce high-quality visual assets for digital, print, and multimedia platforms.
- Design trade show graphics, internal communication materials, and support sales events with a variety of materials.
- Assist in the development and production of media advertising and messaging for all divisions and corporate campaigns.
- Prepare and modify a wide variety of graphic elements for production which may include engineering and remastered files.
- Prepare specifications for quotes, select appropriate vendors, manage in-progress jobs, and approve print jobs through proofs and press checks.
- Ensure designs align with brand guidelines and project objectives.
- Interpret creative briefs and contribute to brainstorming sessions.
- Translate marketing strategies into compelling visual concepts.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining quality.
- Communicate progress and challenges effectively to stakeholders.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to meet all objectives and requirements from start to finish.
- Support various divisions and business units in new product launches by creating and updating product literature and marketing materials.
- Incorporate feedback and adapt designs based on stakeholder input.
- Maintain and evolve brand identity across all visual touchpoints.
- Ensure consistency in typography, color, and imagery.
- Stay current with design software, tools, and industry trends.
- Review and proof designs for accuracy and compliance with specifications.
- Conduct final checks before delivery to ensure flawless execution.
- Serve as a mentor to other marketing communication team members.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Training
- A bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field is required; an associate's degree with sufficient experience is acceptable.
Minimum Qualifications
- A minimum of five years of experience in graphic design or a related field is required.
- Ability to travel up to twenty-five percent of the time on an as needed basis is required.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines is essential.
- Proficiency in graphic design programs such as, but not limited to, Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc. are required.
- Knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Canva, or similar programs preferred.
- Experience with electronic publishing techniques and desktop publishing tools is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft products is required.
- Knowledge of print production processes and digital design standards is required.
- Expertise in preparing files for both print and web is required.
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders is crucial.
- Strong understanding of branding, typography, and layout design is required.
- Ability to interpret creative briefs and translate them into effective visual solutions is required.
- Expert-level attention to detail and accuracy is required to review and prepare design files is a must.
- Experience in photography is a bonus.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is a plus.
