Graphic Designer – Magazine Layout & Interior Design Specialist

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Graphic Designer with a strong aesthetic sense and proven expertise in magazine layout and interior design. This role requires someone who can create visually compelling, professionally polished designs that engage readers and elevate content presentation.

The ideal candidate will have a portfolio demonstrating exceptional design capabilities, a mastery of layout principles, and the ability to balance creativity with functionality across print and digital formats.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and layout magazine-style publications and book interiors with attention to typography, hierarchy, pacing, and visual flow
• Create visually appealing layouts that enhance readability and reader engagement
• Develop consistent design systems that can be applied across multi-page projects and series
• Collaborate with the team to understand project goals, target audiences, and brand guidelines
• Prepare print-ready and digital files that meet industry standards and platform specifications
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards
• Incorporate feedback and revisions efficiently while maintaining design integrity

Required Qualifications

Must-Have Skills:

✅ Expert-level proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator – this is non-negotiable

✅ Proven experience in magazine layout and/or book interior design – portfolio showcasing relevant work required

✅ Strong aesthetic sense and design eye – ability to create visually appealing, polished designs that balance creativity with professionalism

✅ Deep understanding of:

• Typography and typographic hierarchy
• Layout composition and grid systems
• Color theory and visual balance
• Print production processes and file preparation
• Design principles for both print and digital formats

✅ Attention to detail – precision in alignment, spacing, consistency, and file preparation

✅ Ability to work independently – self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing projects from concept to completion

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing educational materials, narrative nonfiction, or children's publications
• Knowledge of ebook formatting (EPUB) and interactive PDF creation
• Familiarity with Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, or other publishing platforms
• Experience creating brand style guides and design systems for series work
• Background in illustration or photo editing/retouching

Portfolio Requirements

Applicants MUST submit a portfolio that includes:

• At least 3-5 examples of magazine layouts or book interior designs
• Samples demonstrating typography skills and layout versatility
• Before-and-after examples or process work (if available)
• Any relevant editorial, publication, or long-form design work

Pay: Rs40,000.00 - Rs50,000.00 per month
