Graphic Designer /Marketing Coordinator

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Graphic Designer/Marketing Coordinator to support marketing operations for our 12 Bay Area garden centers. This dynamic role combines creative design work with marketing coordination and administrative support in a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Graphic Design & Creative:

  • Design materials for social media, website, direct mail, email newsletters, store signage, event calendars, banners, and promotional materials
  • Fulfill sign requests from stores using InDesign
  • Light video editing
  • Help create and maintain organized photo library systems

Marketing Coordination:

  • Manage and distribute monthly store calendars
  • Update and monitor marketing production calendar
  • Coordinate "What's Happening"spreadsheet calendar topics and tasks
  • Distribute proofing materials for marketing and manager meetings
  • Build store promotional memos for monthly marketing themes

Digital & Website Management:

  • Monitor website performance (speed, outages, 404 errors)
  • Edit website content as needed using WordPress
  • Assist with marketing reporting, analysis, and insights

Administrative Support:

  • Attend weekly marketing team meetings and help maintain action lists
  • Prepare materials for marketing and manager meetings
  • Provide additional marketing and administrative support as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Highly proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Premiere
  • Experience with WordPress
  • Familiarity with social media platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency while maintaining quality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interest in plants and gardening
  • Additional experience in marketing or retail environments
