About Minizfigs
Minizfigs is a fast-growing consumer products company specializing in collectible toy products sold in major retail channels including convenience, travel, and specialty stores. We are expanding rapidly and need a highly capable graphic designer who can own the full design process from concept to production.
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced, self-sufficient graphic designer who can execute end-to-end packaging and product design with minimal oversight. This is not a training role — we need someone who can step in and deliver immediately.
Responsibilities
- Design retail-ready packaging from concept through production
- Determine appropriate packaging structures and dimensions
- Create on-brand, visually compelling packaging systems
- Develop: Product decals
- Develop: Instruction manuals
- Develop: Sales sheets
- Develop: PDQs (Point-of-Display packaging)
- Develop: Labels and carton artwork
- Develop: Ecommerce and digital assets
- Prepare print-ready files (dielines, bleed, color specs, etc.)
- Create or assist with 3D renderings / packaging mockups (CAD-based)
- Collaborate with vendors and internal team to ensure production accuracy
- Maintain consistency across all brand touchpoints
Requirements
- Proven experience in:
- Packaging design (consumer products preferred)
- Print production & dielines
- Retail display (PDQs, shelf-ready packaging)
- Strong portfolio demonstrating:
- Packaging systems
- Product graphics
- Print-ready work
- Mac OS proficiency required
- Advanced proficiency in:
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe Photoshop
- Willingness and ability to use CAD software for renderings/mockups
(Studio, or similar — experience preferred but not required)
- High attention to detail — non-negotiable
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction
- Must be local to La Crosse, WI area (in-person or remote local)
What We’re NOT Looking For
- Entry-level designers
- Anyone needing training or constant direction
- Designers without real packaging / production experience
Compensation
- Hourly pay based on experience (aligned with local market rates)
- Paid vacation, no medical benefits included
