Graphic Designer - Part Time

Graphic Design

  • Uses a wide range of media including; Adobe software packages, photography, video and illustrative arts to create marketing materials.
  • Creates print materials such as newsletters, magazines, logo development, mailer invites, promotional materials, advertising materials, and other various types, under the direction of the creative director, art director, or the Vice President of Marketing
  • Assists with keeping abreast of graphic design developments, particularly Adobe Suite programs, to keep designs and software up-to-date.
  • Creates consistent layouts utilizing typographical rules, consistent type styles and formatting.
  • Assists with researching information necessary in the production of insurance marketing materials.
  • Prepares files for printing in spot and process colors.
  • Produces quality images for print, digital, email or online materials and publications.


Project Management

  • Interacts with Marketing team members, other departments, printers, and copywriters to produce marketing materials.
  • Assists marketing team members with internal customers to produce a creative interpretation that satisfies the customer and fits the specifications.
  • Develops design briefs by gathering information and data to clarify design issues, contributes ideas and designs artwork and innovates to redefine a design brief and meet the constraints of cost and time.
  • Maintains electronic marketing materials folder.


Education and Experience: Marketing/graphic design generalist knowledge. Bachelor’s degree coursework in graphic design with a concentration in print media, or equivalent and 1-3 years of related work experience.

Competencies: Balance workload assignments within time constraints; excellent written and verbal communication skills; self-motivated to work independently; able to work well with diverse groups of peers; communicate positively and respectfully; provide excellent customer service to external and internal stakeholders; business acumen, and retain strict confidentiality.

Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products preferred and Adobe creative software.

Essential Functions:

This associate must be able to communicate effectively by phone, in-person and email with internal customers and external contacts to produce high quality results. This associate must be able to work independently while managing a heavy production schedule. They need to be able to interpret business concepts into visual designs and images.
