Graphic Designer - Part time

Rapidly growing, fast paced, manufacturer / distributor is looking for a part-time graphic designer that understands marketing and social media.

Requirements:

• The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in graphic design for all print (flyers, product labels, catalogs, boxes and packaging) and online content - including website, Amazon / 3rd party sites, email marketing, social media, and newsletters.
• Photography, video production and 3D rendering experience a plus!

What is the role of a graphic designer?

The graphic designer job description includes the entire process of defining requirements, visualizing and creating graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts and photos. You’ll be the one to shape the visual aspects of websites, catalogs, magazines, product packaging, exhibitions and more. Your graphics should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message. For this, you need to have a creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into design. If you can communicate well and work methodically as part of a team, we’d like to meet you. The goal is to inspire and attract the target audience.

You’ll design and execute marketing strategy while following a calendar with a preplanned agenda.

• You like to be hands-on and can manage all aspects of the design process from idea to publication. Organized file storage of design assets is a must.
• You have a history of work excellence developed over at least 4 years.
• You have excellent interpersonal skills, are an effective verbal and written communicator, and can pivot between operating as part of a team and operating independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare rough drafts and present ideas
• Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand
• Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic
• Work with team to produce final design
• Amend designs after feedback
• Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand

Skills:

• Proven graphic designing experience
• A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
• Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop)
• A keen eye for aesthetics and details
• Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
• Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plus

Pay: $31.00 per hour
