THE OPPORTUNITY
College Hill is looking for a part-time merchandise graphic designer to join our team! This role can be 100% remote (must currently be based within Washington, Idaho or Wisconsin state) or can work from our Pullman HQ. Whether remote or in-office, our graphic designers are integral and heavily involved members of our team. This part-time role will start at approximately 10 hours per week, with the opportunity to grow to 20–25 hours based on performance and business needs. The schedule will follow Monday through Friday, with ongoing communication with your department.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate for this role demonstrates strong design skills and can easily interpret written information and translate it into original graphic merchandise designs. The person in this role should have unwavering attention to detail and organizational skills that will allow them to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The ability to design and create under fast-approaching deadlines and to use creative problem-solving skills is a huge plus.
In this role, you will be responsible for creating designs for client projects, from logo placement to highly detailed designs for print on custom apparel or products. This position does not encompass the task of developing company branding for clients. You will have the opportunity to create design collateral for internal marketing purposes and will serve as a bridge between our clients, sales team, and marketing department. The design team collaborates heavily with one another, but this role is also in regular communication with every department, adapting to client needs.
THE ROLE
Your role as a part-time graphic designer is focused specifically on creating print-ready graphics for apparel and promotional products within a multi-location design team. Working closely with the marketing, sales, and client services teams, your responsibilities include interpreting client briefs and crafting exceptional artwork for cutting-edge apparel. Meeting deadlines, managing time effectively throughout the creative process, and actively contributing ideas are crucial aspects of your role. It's essential to stay informed about our clients' industries and to implement creative trends accordingly. Clear communication with team members, other departments, vendors, and clients is paramount to success.
