Graphic Designer / Photographer

Summary: Responsible for supporting Creative Department with the production of graphics which appear across multiple channels including digital distribution, website, social media, online advertising, email, direct mail, and all other forms of internal and external advertising.

Routinely, take photographs of property, events, food sale items, team member photos, hotel rooms, casino games, Loomis Trail Golf, and any other photographs that can be used for advertising Silver Reef Casino and Loomis Trail Golf. Develop and maintain a searchable library of images and video clips to use in advertising and meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of design experience using Adobe Creative Suite including, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat DC. Portfolio of work will be requested.
  • Must a minimum of 3 years of experience in Photography. Portfolio of work will be requested.
  • Demonstrate a strong graphic production/design skill, including image color correction, photo editing, image format sizing and conversions, resolutions, alpha channels, layering masking, text layout effects typography and illustration.
  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or equivalent work and experience.
  • Must have working knowledge in operating Macintosh and/or PC operating system.
  • Able to work in an environment where current information can quickly adjust daily tasks.

LICENSING REQUIREMENTS

  • Class III Gaming License

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Create designs that are visually compelling and engaging to current and prospective guests while supporting our brand positioning across multiple channels.
  • Photograph images in interesting styles that match brand standards with light, focus, and layout details, are of high quality.
  • Must meet and exceed campaign objectives.
  • Be able to work closely with the Director, Manager, and other team members to develop projects from initial consultation meetings to final approvals of concepts.
  • Work to find proactive solutions to problems.
  • Maintain a system of archiving digital assets, landing pages, banners, direct mail, and all other collateral.
  • Multi-task and meet demanding deadlines while paying attention to details.
  • Effectively work under stressful situations and time constraints.
  • Provide excellent service to team members and guests through clear communication.
  • Update content through user interfaces.
  • Update social media, website, mobile, postings, and other assets as requested.
  • Develop and manage content for advertising and team member development using the provided content management system.
  • Perform all other related duties assigned.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to read, write, type, reach, bend, stoop, handle objects, tools, or controls.
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Must have manual dexterity to operate all office equipment, including but not limited to copiers, fax machines, computers, laser engravers, cameras, and microphones.
  • Sufficient finger dexterity to make small movements such as computer keyboard manipulation or picking up small objects.
  • Ability to maintain composure, think clearly, and perform well under pressure in a fast-paced, multi-task environment, and make quick decisions simultaneously as required.
  • Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Constantly indoors, exposure to smoke, noise, and odors.
  • Occasional outdoor exposure. Primarily in warmer months.
  • Constantly work with others and independently.
