Job Title: Graphic Designer & Platemaker

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Graphic Designer & Platemaker to join our production team. In this dual role, you will be responsible for creating and refining digital layouts, managing the prepress process, and physically producing plates for our printing/manufacturing lines. The ideal candidate understands that "good design" in a factory means high-quality, error-free production.

Key Responsibilities

1.⁠ ⁠Graphic Design & Prepress

* Layout Creation: Design and adapt artwork, logos, and technical layouts based on client specifications.

* Pre-Flight Checks: Review digital files for color accuracy, bleed, resolution, and font issues before they hit the production floor.

* Color Separation: Perform professional color separations (CMYK and Spot colors) to ensure accurate printing.

* Technical Optimization: Adjust designs to account for specific substrate requirements, distortion factors, and press limitations.

2.⁠ ⁠Plate Production

* Plate Imaging: Operate CTP (Computer-to-Plate) systems or traditional plate-making equipment.

* Chemical/Mechanical Processing: Manage the washing, drying, and finishing of plates (Flexographic, Offset, or Polymer, depending on your factory's specific tech).

* Quality Control: Inspect finished plates for any defects, scratches, or imaging errors that could affect the final print run.

* Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of plate-making machinery.

Required Skills & Qualifications

* Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop are essential).

* Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of printing processes (Flexography, Offset, Screen, etc.) and prepress workflows.

* Precision: An "eagle eye" for detail; you notice the 1mm shift that others miss.

* Physical Stamina: Ability to handle the physical demands of a factory environment, including lifting plate materials and standing for extended periods.

Experience

* 2+ years in a printing or manufacturing environment.

* Proven experience operating plate-making equipment (CTP systems preferred).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month

• Umm al-Quwain City: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Preferred)
