Local marketing services and printing firm seeks Digital Press Operator (novice to pro ok...we like to train the team). The Digital Press Operator is responsible for completing all digital press work in compliance with job specifications and quality standards. This person must schedule workloads to meet customer time requirements. In addition, he/she will perform daily and weekly maintenance on all digital equipment to ensure optimum output. This person is vital to the overall customer service provided and will work closely with other team members.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED with experience or vocational/technical certification.
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Good mathematical skills (helps with measurements to ensure print lines up as intended for customer)
• Ability to apply written instructions to machine set-up and maintenance.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality and attention to workstation.
• Meet or exceed minimum test results as specified by hiring manager.
• Make recommendations on improving productivity
• Digital room experience a plus
• Solid understanding of photoshop and other design software a plus
• Ability to talk with some customers via chat / email about any requests and / or issues they have with their designs / results
• Knowledge of how shipping process with Shopify, ship label apps (ShipStation, EasyShip, etc) for UPS, FedEx and USPS a big plus

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work with clients to design boxes and lay artwork and ability to correct issues via email / chat (40% of role)
• Operations of Equipment - Black & White Digital Presses (40% of role)
• Fulfill orders using Shopify (print labels for UPS/FedEx and fulfill in boxes)
• Clean and maintain equipment following daily and weekly schedules (video tutorials)
• Assist Bindery, Wide Format Operation and other areas of the facility if needed
• Ability to lift 50-90 lbs consistently through the day (push around even more with use of a pallet jack and potentially forklift later)
• Hit productivity targets and make recommendations to do so
• Comply with all OSHA safety requirements
