We are seeking a Graphic Designer / Printer Operator to support our graphics and production department. This is an entry-level friendly position, but the right candidate must be detail-oriented, organized, computer-capable, and willing to learn technical production workflows. This role includes sign layout, file preparation, proofing, quality control, and occasional operation of large-format printing and finishing equipment. Compensation will be based on experience, skill level, and ability to contribute to the department. While entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply, applicants with strong sign, print, graphics, prepress, or production experience will be considered accordingly.

This role is full time position Monday through Friday 7:50AM-4:30PM.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with creating, editing, and preparing sign layouts for production.
• Review files, proofs, layouts, spelling, measurements, materials, and quantities for accuracy.
• Help prepare print-ready and cut-ready files for large-format printers, cutters, and other production equipment.
• Assist with operating large-format digital printers, vinyl cutters/plotters, and laminating equipment as needed.
• Support quality control throughout the design and production process.
• Prioritize print requests and help organize graphics libraries, production files, templates, and job data.
• Communicate with graphics, print, and production staff to help resolve file or production issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the graphics and production areas.
• Learn and follow company procedures for file setup, proofing, printing, cutting, and archiving completed work.

Skills and Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and a working knowledge of design or production software.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Gerber Omega, SAi FlexiSIGN & Print, AutoCAD, SignCAD, GuideSIGN, or Microsoft 365 is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail, especially with spelling, grammar, measurements, quantities, colors, and production specifications.
• Strong file management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple jobs or orders at once.
• Basic math skills, including measurements, fractions, decimals, and square footage.
• Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn production equipment.
• Experience operating a large-format printer, vinyl cutter/plotter, Summa cutter, laminator, or other sign production equipment is a plus.
• Ability to read or create technical drawings is a plus.
• Previous experience in a sign shop, print shop, manufacturing environment, or graphics department is helpful but not required.
• Must be able to remain sedentary for long periods of time at a desk.
