Job Summary

The Graphic Designer (Wide Format) is responsible for creating and adapting artwork for large-format print production, ensuring designs are visually strong and production-ready.

This role focuses on wide-format deliverables (banners, signs, decals, window graphics, posters, and other large-format products). You will collaborate closely with the customer service team and production team to ensure correct sizing, bleeds, safe areas, and specifications for print and finishing.

This position may also include working in a RIP, imposition automation tool, and our CRM to manage proofs and production handoff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and adapt wide-format artwork for print production (various substrates and finishing methods).
  • Prepare files to spec: correct dimensions, bleeds, safe areas, scaling, color settings, and export standards.
  • Build and revise customer proofs; incorporate feedback quickly and accurately.
  • Ensure art meets quality standards and is compatible with print/cut workflows.
  • Collaborate with production to understand constraints (material, finishing, cutting, mounting) and design accordingly.
  • Maintain organized file management for multiple ongoing projects.
  • Assist with in-house marketing materials and customer design requests as needed.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of graphic design experience, with an emphasis on wide/large-format design.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator required; Photoshop and InDesign preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and production mindset.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid fundamentals: layout, typography, and color.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in a print production environment (wide-format, cutting, finishing, or sign production).
  • Familiarity with RIP/print workflow tools (Onyx) and production automation tools (Prime Center).
  • Understanding of print production considerations: resolution, vector vs raster, overprint, spot colors, and finishing tolerances.
