The Ordway: The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts is one of the leading performing arts centers in the United States and a catalyst for vibrant arts in Minnesota. Position Purpose: The Graphic Designer & Production Artist is responsible for the production, localization, and creative execution of visual assets across print, digital, and video platforms. This role is primarily production-focused, with core responsibilities centered on adapting and localizing provided tour art packages (admats) and assets into venue-specific marketing materials quickly, accurately, and at high volume. In addition to production work, the Graphic Designer leads original creative development for major organizational initiatives, as well as various concerts and artistic events throughout the season. The designer owns the design and production of Broadway show programs and playbills throughout the season. Video and motion content work includes short-form social content for social and digital channels, as well as motion graphics, light animation, and localization of artist-supplied video assets for promotional use.
Supporting the full Marketing & Sales team, this role requires the ability to manage concurrent shows and events annually, pivot quickly between projects, and maintain organized archives of art, photo, and design assets. The ideal candidate is fast, detail-oriented, and equally comfortable working within established brand systems and building original creative from scratch.
