Graphic Designer / Production Designer

Endura is seeking an experienced Graphic Designer / Production Designer to support the design, layout, and preparation of production-ready artwork for custom signage, vehicle graphics, wraps, awnings, and related projects. This is a skilled position for someone with strong design experience who understands how to create visually effective work that is also accurate, manufacturable, and ready for production.

This is not an entry-level role. Applicants must have proven experience in graphic design and production design, preferably within the sign, graphics, or large-format print industry. The right candidate takes pride in clean design, accuracy, organization, and problem-solving, and helps ensure projects are completed to Endura’s standards for quality, readability, and professional appearance.

This role will also support basic customer service and front-end administrative functions as needed, including answering phones, assisting with customer inquiries, and helping with basic estimating and quote preparation.

This is an in-person position based at our shop in Wichita / Park City, KS. Remote or hybrid work is not available for this role. Please do not apply if you are not willing to work on site.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & File Preparation

  • Create designs and production-ready layouts for custom signs, vehicle graphics, wraps, banners, decals, wall graphics, window graphics, and awnings.
  • Prepare customer proofs for review and approval.
  • Build accurate production files for print, cut, routing, fabrication, and installation.
  • Set up artwork to correct scale, sizing, bleed, safe areas, and material specifications.
  • Review files carefully for spelling, dimensions, placement, readability, and manufacturability.
  • Convert customer-supplied files, concepts, or sketches into clean, usable production artwork.
  • Maintain organized digital files and follow internal file structure and workflow standards.
  • Support production schedules by preparing artwork in a timely and accurate manner.

Production Support

  • Work closely with sales, project management, and production staff to clarify project scope, materials, and application methods.
  • Help identify design or file issues before they create production errors or delays.
  • Assist with print setup, preflight checks, mockups, revisions, and other production-related design support as needed.
  • Ensure final artwork aligns with customer expectations, brand standards, and production requirements.
  • Help improve workflow efficiency by producing consistent, organized, and production-ready files.

Customer Service & Administrative Support

  • Answer incoming phone calls and assist with basic customer questions and job intake.
  • Provide professional and helpful communication to walk-in, phone, and email customers.
  • Assist with basic estimating, quote preparation, and gathering project information.
  • Help route customer requests to the appropriate team members when needed.
  • Support front-end workflow by helping keep communication, notes, and job details organized.

Teamwork & Communication

  • Communicate clearly with team members regarding artwork status, revisions, missing information, and file concerns.
  • Work collaboratively with internal staff to help move projects through design and production efficiently.
  • Receive and apply feedback professionally while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Participate in training and continuous improvement as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in graphic design, production design, or a related field.
  • Previous experience designing for signage, vehicle graphics, wraps, large-format print, or similar production-based environments is required.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong understanding of file setup for print and cut production.
  • Ability to work from measurements, layouts, customer direction, and production instructions accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail in spelling, sizing, layout, and overall file preparation.
  • Strong problem-solving ability in both design and production-related situations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort handling basic customer service responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the sign or graphics industry.
  • Experience designing vehicle wraps.
  • Experience preparing files for large-format printers, plotters, cutters, or routers.
  • Flexi Sign Pro experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with production workflows, vinyl application needs, and large-format print processes.
  • Experience with customer communication, job intake, or basic estimating is a plus.
  • Knowledge of materials, substrates, and installation limitations is a plus.

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
