Graphic Designer & Production Manager (Sign Shop)

Job Description

We are a fast-paced sign and graphics company looking for someone who can handle both graphic design and project coordination.

This is not a sit-at-a-desk design job. You will be working directly with customers, managing jobs, and helping move projects from start to finish.

If you are organized, good with people, and can handle multiple projects at once, this is a great opportunity to grow with a local business.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with customers to plan and quote signage projects
  • Create design proofs for signs, vehicle graphics, and printed materials
  • Manage jobs from order through production and installation
  • Coordinate with the production team to keep jobs on schedule
  • Answer phones and assist walk-in customers
  • Ensure job details are accurate and complete before production

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience with Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, or Flexi (basic to intermediate is fine)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple jobs at once without getting overwhelmed
  • Comfortable talking with customers and guiding them through decisions
  • Detail-oriented and reliable

Preferred (but not required):

  • Experience in a sign shop, print shop, or similar environment
  • Knowledge of large format printing, vinyl, or vehicle graphics

Important:

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role. You will be balancing design work with customer interaction and job management.

If you prefer to only focus on design work without customer interaction, this position will not be a good fit.

Why Work With Us:

  • Steady, year-round work
  • Opportunity to grow into a leadership role
  • Work on a wide variety of real-world projects (not repetitive work)
  • Small team environment where your work matters

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour

Benefits:

  • Paid time off

Work Location: In person
