Graphic Designer / Shirt Decoration Professional

We are looking for a graphic designer - shirt expert to create engaging and on-brand graphic designs, and coordinate production of those graphics through the shop, to completion. You’ll be the one to communicate with the customer, to develop ideas and projects - determine the best shirts or materials, and how best to get them done, utilizing all the assets of the shop. The right candidate is proficient with graphic software, to convert/develop logos with maximum efficiency, but does not need to be expert level in design, as there is expert support available in the shop - so the candidate we are looking for will be open to collaboration with other artists, to achieve final designs. This position is a balance of creative flair / software efficiency / project management skills to get work done, utilizing assets other than yourself. If you have experience in screen print, embroidery, or digital printing, graphics ability, and work methodically as part of a team, we’d like to meet you.

Responsibilities

• Handle front-line customer service - talk through with customer to develop new project requirements
• Provide expertise in brands/materials available to best fit the customer need
• Conceptualize visuals based on requirements
• Prepare rough drafts and present ideas
• Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand
• Amend designs after feedback
• Work with other designers, to develop the best product for the customer
• Operate/troubleshoot all types of printing/sewing equipment in the shop.

Requirements

• Experience in a screen print, or digital printing shop
• Excellent communication skills - verbal and email
• A portfolio of graphics, or demonstrated ability to produce in real-time
• Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as CorelDraw, Illustrator, Photoshop)
• A keen eye for aesthetics and details
• Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines on multiple projects at the same time
• Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plus - but not required

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
