Graphic Designer (Sign & Awning Production – AI-Proficient)

About the Role
Established NYC sign and awning company seeking a production-focused graphic designer with direct industry experience. This is not a general design role. You must understand fabrication, materials, and create files ready for the shop floor while leveraging AI tools to increase speed and output.

Responsibilities
Create production-ready artwork for signs, awnings, vinyl, and large-format printing
Read plans and create CAD/shop drawings for awnings, channel letters, LED signs, and related products
Prepare files for CNC routing and large-format printing
Create 3D mockups and client visuals
Use AI tools daily to accelerate design concepts, mockups, and workflow efficiency
Coordinate with production team to ensure accuracy and efficiency

Requirements
2+ years CAD experience reading blueprints/plans (sign or construction background preferred)
2+ years graphic design experience in sign, awning, or fabrication industry required
Strong understanding of sign production, materials, and layouts
Must be proficient in CNC routing and large-format printing
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD tools
Experience with 3D software such as SketchUp, Fusion 360, Blender, or similar
Strong AI proficiency required (ChatGPT, Midjourney, Claude, Gemini or similar)
Detail-oriented and reliable
Must be authorized to work in the United States
