We are an established, fast-growing custom sign and graphics company seeking an experienced Graphic Designer / Sign Production Specialist with real-world sign industry experience—someone who is equally comfortable creating beautiful production-ready artwork, managing print workflows, and helping modernize how a company operates.

This is a hands-on creative production role at its core—but we are especially excited to meet candidates who also understand ai / artificial intelligence, workflow automation, systems architecture, and operational optimization.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting Pay: $25.00–$30.00 +* per hour (or More _$$$* -=depending on experience)_

Core ResponsibilitiesGraphic Design & Creative Production (Primary Role)

• Design production-ready artwork using FlexiSIGN, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop
• Create graphics for:
• Banners
• Window graphics
• Vinyl lettering
• Wall murals
• Vehicle graphics / wraps
• Dimensional lettering
• ADA signage
• Retail displays
• Trade show graphics
• Architectural signage
• Specialty custom fabrication projects
• Develop proofs, mockups, color studies, and client presentation files
• Prepare print-ready / cut-ready files for production with strong attention to detail
• Manage revisions, maintain organized digital files, and uphold production standards

Client Communication / Project Coordination

• Work directly with customers by phone, email, and in person
• Help clients determine:
• best materials
• fabrication methods
• sizing
• installation requirements
• timelines
• budgets
• Translate ideas into practical, manufacturable solutions
• Coordinate projects from concept through production

Print Production / Shop Operations

• Operate large-format equipment including:
• UV Flatbed printers
• UV Gel printers
• Eco Solvent printers
• Latex printers
• Plotters / cutters
• Laminators
• Load media, prep substrates for printing / offload
• Maintain equipment cleanliness, calibration, and general upkeep
• Troubleshoot production issues efficiently and proactively

AI / Automation / Systems Thinking (Highly Preferred)

We are looking for someone who can contribute beyond daily design work by helping improve how our business operates.

Highly valued experience includes:

• AI-assisted creative workflows and production support
• Prompt engineering / effective use of AI tools
• Workflow automation and repetitive task reduction
• Process mapping and operational systems design
• API integrations between software platforms
• Automation scripting / macros / batch processing
• Python, JavaScript, or related programming knowledge
• File organization architecture / digital asset systems
• Internal documentation / SOP creation
• Production scheduling and operational efficiency improvements
• Data organization, reporting, and business systems thinking
• Identifying opportunities to build smarter internal workflows

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years sign industry experience (strongly preferred)
• Adobe Illustrator proficiency (required)
• Adobe Photoshop experience (required)
• FlexiSIGN experience (preferred)
• Large-format print production experience (required)
• RIP software experience (Onyx, VersaWorks, or similar)
• Strong understanding of typography, branding, composition, and color theory
• Excellent organization and time management
• Strong communication and client service skills
• Automation / programming / AI experience is a major plus
• Tech-forward mindset with interest in improving systems and workflow

Requirements

• Fluent English communication skills
• High school diploma required (college preferred)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Able to lift 50+ lbs
• Comfortable climbing ladders and standing for extended periods
• Dependable communication and professionalism
• Strong punctuality, cleanliness, and reliability
