About Us
Webflare is a small, fast-moving startup building software for the auction industry. We help auctioneers catalog items, present them beautifully online, and work faster with modern, easy-to-use tools. Our product is called AuctionWriter. You’ll join a tight, hands-on team where designers have a real voice in product and brand decisions.
The Role
We’re looking for a multidisciplinary designer who is as comfortable polishing a landing page as they are mapping user flows in Figma. This role blends product/UI-UX design with marketing and light creative production. You’ll switch contexts frequently and collaborate directly with the founder and a small engineering team.
What You’ll Do
- Product & UI-UX
- Design flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity UI for web apps
- Create component libraries and design systems in Figma
- Partner with engineering to ship pixel-accurate, usable interfaces
- Brand & Marketing
- Produce ads, social graphics, email and web assets
- Create simple illustrations and iconography aligned to our brand
- Contribute to website layout/landing page design
- Front-End (nice to have)
- Translate designs into clean HTML/CSS where appropriate
- Generalist Startup Support
- Light video editing for tutorials, product launches, and ads
- Social media content scheduling/asset prep
- Customer support (phone/email) with empathy and clear communication
Must-Have Skills
- Strong Figma proficiency (auto-layout, variants, styles, components, prototyping)
- Portfolio demonstrating web app UI-UX and marketing design
- Visual design fundamentals: layout, typography, color, hierarchy
- Ability to scope work, manage your own deadlines, and communicate tradeoffs
- Comfort jumping between product work and quick marketing tasks
Nice-to-Have Skills
- HTML/CSS for front-end implementation
- Basic motion/animation or video editing (Premiere, CapCut, or similar)
- Customer support experience in a software environment
- Illustration/icon design
- Experience in, or familiarity with, the auction industry

Work Setup & Benefits
