About Us

Exceed Equine and Substrata Media are building a next-generation digital media platform centered around storytelling, community engagement, and the horse industry. Our platform combines original shows, livestreams, social media content, interactive features, and unique user experiences designed to connect audiences with the horses and people behind the scenes.

We are looking for a talented Graphic Designer & UI/UX Design Specialist to help bring our vision to life through compelling visual design.

Position Overview

This is a flexible, fully remote position for a creative professional who enjoys both graphic design and product design. We are seeking someone who can support our team on an ongoing basis by creating graphics, visual assets, and website designs as projects arise.

You will be responsible for creating eye-catching graphics for our shows, website, social media, and marketing efforts while also helping design new features and user experiences for our platform.

This is not a programming or web development position. You will focus exclusively on visual design, creating mockups, wireframes, and design concepts that our development team can then build and implement.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, managing multiple projects, and collaborating remotely with leadership and developers. Workload may vary from week to week depending on project needs, making this an excellent opportunity for a freelancer or designer looking for flexible supplemental work.

Responsibilities

Graphic Design

• Create thumbnails for livestreams, shows, and video content
• Design promotional graphics for social media campaigns
• Create website banners, advertisements, and branded visual assets
• Develop graphics for community engagement initiatives, contests, and platform announcements
• Maintain consistency across all brand assets and visual communications

UI/UX & Product Design

• Design website pages and feature concepts before development begins
• Create wireframes, mockups, and user interface designs
• Collaborate with leadership to translate ideas into visual concepts
• Provide finalized designs and design specifications to the development team
• Improve the visual experience and usability of existing platform features
• Participate in brainstorming sessions regarding future platform functionality

Brand Development

• Help establish and maintain visual design standards
• Ensure consistency across websites, mobile experiences, and digital content
• Contribute creative ideas that enhance user engagement and overall platform experience

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who can quickly take a concept and transform it into polished, professional designs. Strong visual design skills are essential, but equally important is the ability to think through user experience, organization, and how users interact with digital products.

The ideal candidate has experience designing both marketing assets and website interfaces and is comfortable presenting design concepts that can be handed off directly to a development team for implementation.
