Skillbook Academy is looking for a talented remote video editor based in India to help us transform our long-form content into powerful, viral short-form videos and engaging trailers.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

1. Technical Mastery (Tools of the Trade):

• Adobe Suite: Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro for multi-camera editing, sequencing, and advanced cuts. You must also have strong skills in Adobe After Effects for creating custom motion graphics, kinetic text, and on-screen animations.
• Color & Sound: A solid understanding of DaVinci Resolve for professional color grading and correction. Mastery of audio editing, including noise reduction, equalization, and compression, is essential to maintain our high production standards.
• AI & Workflow: Experience with modern, AI-powered tools like Descript for transcription-based editing and rough cuts, and Wondercraft for content repurposing and AI-generated assets.

2. Core Editing Abilities:

• Multi-Camera Editing: Exceptional skill in seamlessly cutting between multiple camera angles to create a dynamic, engaging visual flow.
• Storytelling & Pacing: The ability to identify compelling narratives within long-form content and edit with a rapid, captivating pace. You must be able to create a sense of intrigue and tell a complete story arc in under 90 seconds.
• Motion Graphics & Kinetic Text: Proven experience in designing and animating on-screen text and graphics that add a cinematic, high-production feel to the videos.
• Content Repurposing: A demonstrated ability to break down a long-form video (e.g., a 2-hour podcast) into dozens of short, impactful clips for various social media platforms (YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, TikTok).

Key Responsibilities:

• Edit long-form interviews into a polished, high-production final video.
• Create captivating 60-90 second trailers for new videos, following a specific, fast-paced formula.
• Produce a high volume of viral short-form clips for various platforms, including YouTube Shorts, by identifying the most impactful and shareable moments.
• Implement advanced color grading and audio editing to ensure a consistent, premium look and feel across all videos.
• Collaborate closely with the production team to maintain brand consistency and execute a data-driven content strategy.
