Role Overview

Design Matters Studio (DMS) is a growing creative and marketing startup, currently in an active team-building phase. We are hiring a Graphic Designer & Video Editor for a hybrid internship role to support ongoing branding and social media projects.

The core responsibility of this role includes graphic design, motion graphics, and video editing.
Photography is considered an added advantage and may be utilised when project requirements arise.

This role involves working on live client deliverables already committed through service agreements. Maintaining quality, consistency, ownership, and timelines is critical. We are looking for someone interested in growing with the studio long-term, not just completing a short-term internship.

Key Responsibilities

Graphic Design

• Design social media creatives including static posts, carousels, and story assets
• Create brand-aligned creatives for campaigns and digital marketing
• Design layouts for presentations, pitch decks, and proposals
• Maintain strict consistency with brand guidelines across all assets

Motion Graphics & Video Editing

• Edit short-form videos and reels for Instagram, LinkedIn, and other platforms
• Create motion graphics and animated social media creatives
• Add captions, text overlays, transitions, and music
• Apply colour correction and ensure overall visual quality

Photography (Added Advantage)

• Ability to handle photography or videography shoots if required
• Support framing, lighting, and content capture
• Photography skills will be considered an additional asset

Collaboration & Delivery

• Coordinate remotely and in person as required
• Deliver creatives as per defined scopes and timelines
• Implement feedback accurately and efficiently
• Maintain organised project files and asset libraries

Preferred Candidate Profile

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including:
• After Effects (motion graphics, animation)
• Premiere Pro (video editing)
• Photoshop & Illustrator (design)
• Working knowledge of CorelDRAW
• Strong understanding of typography, layout, and visual hierarchy
• Familiarity with social media formats and content behaviour

Professional Skills

• Strong attention to detail and execution quality
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables and meet deadlines
• Clear communication and openness to feedback
• Comfortable working independently and in a hybrid setup

Eligibility

• Mumbai-based candidates only
• Students or recent graduates in Design, Media, or related fields
• Portfolio showcasing graphic design and video editing work is mandatory
• Photography work, if any, may be shared as an added skill
