Graphic Designer / Visual Designer

The Story House is a modern media and content company focused on podcasts, branded storytelling, digital content, and premium visual experiences. We work across social media, branded campaigns, events, editorial formats, and content IPs.

We are looking for a Graphic Designer / Visual Designer with strong visual taste, clean modern aesthetics, and experience creating premium digital-first content.

Key Responsibilities

• Design social media posts, carousels, quote cards, and story templates
• Create podcast thumbnails, episode covers, and guest announcement creatives
• Design pitch decks, sponsor decks, proposals, and presentations
• Build visual identity systems for recurring content formats and IPs
• Support website visual layouts and branded assets
• Design client campaign creatives and branded content templates
• Create event collateral, magazine layouts, and sponsorship materials
• Collaborate with editors on visual packaging and motion graphics support
• Maintain consistent branding across all platforms
• Create reusable templates for scalable content production
• Support internal documents, sales collateral, credentials decks, and rate cards

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in graphic design, social media design, agency design, or media/content design
• Strong typography, layout, and visual hierarchy skills
• Excellent understanding of digital-first and social media content
• Ability to create clean, premium, modern visuals
• Experience designing presentations and decks
• Ability to work quickly and manage revisions efficiently
• Strong understanding of brand consistency and design systems
• Familiarity with Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and digital content formats

• Canva Pro
• Figma
• Microsoft PowerPoint / Google Slides
• Knowledge of Adobe After Effects is a plus

Portfolio Requirements

Applicants must include:

• Social media design samples
• Deck/presentation samples
• Brand identity or campaign work
• Thumbnail/carousel examples (preferred)

Trial Task

Shortlisted candidates may be asked to complete a paid/unpaid design test including:

• 1 podcast guest announcement post
• 1 Instagram carousel cover + 2 slides
• 1 pitch deck title slide

Assessment will focus on:

• Design quality and premium visual taste
• Typography and layout
• Brand understanding
• Attention to detail
• Speed and communication

Work Location: In person
