Graphic Designer / Visual Information Specialist

Blackberg Group is seeking an experienced Graphic Designer / Visual Information Specialistto support executive-level communications for the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). This role focuses on developing high-quality PowerPoint presentations, executive briefings, reports, and visual templates that translate complex healthcare transformation initiatives into clear, compelling materials for senior leadership.

The ideal candidate has direct experience with VHA, strong PowerPoint and business-suite design skills, and hands-on experience using Adobe InDesign for reports and publications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and refine executive-level PowerPoint presentations for senior leadership
• Participate in design planning discussions, consulting on the optimal direction
• Create slide templates, master decks, charts, and visual frameworks aligned with established brand guidelines
• Translate complex healthcare and transformation content into clear, professional visual storytelling
• Develop and format reports, briefs, and publications using Adobe InDesign
• Ensure materials meet Section 508 accessibility standards
• Support rapid-turn requests and collaborate with program teams, analysts, and subject matter experts

Required Qualifications

• Direct experience supporting Veterans Health Administration (VHA) initiatives
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint (executive-level decks)
• Demonstrated experience with Adobe Creative Cloud for reports, publications, infographics, and associated design products
• Experience creating business-suite templates (PowerPoint, Word, PDF)
• Ability to present complex information clearly and professionally

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferred (design, communications, public health, health administration, or related field)
• Experience in healthcare transformation, strategy, or consulting environment
• Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility standards
• Experience supporting executive or senior leadership audiences

Pay: $30.00 - $85.00 per hour
