Graphic Designer/Marketing Assistant

Position Overview:

Hybrid – Home Office and Manufacturing Plant in Auburn, Maine (at least 2 days/week after initial training, which requires 4 days in Plant)

Panolam Surface Systems is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Graphic Designer/Marketing Assistant to support our marketing efforts, focusing on day-to-day administrative activities in a fast-paced environment. This position will be instrumental in coordinating marketing initiatives, facilitating communication, and ensuring the effective promotion of our products and brand. The ideal candidate will be proactive, with strong organizational and communication skills, and capable of working independently and collaboratively. This position reports to the Senior Director of Marketing and Design (Saint Paul, MN).

Responsibilities:

In addition to administrative marketing and graphic design responsibilities, this role will serve as our Company’s day-to-day webmaster. You will work regularly with our external marketing agency on special projects. Additional responsibilities include:

· Manage the registration process for attendees of Continuing Education Unit (CEU) presentations delivered by Specification Managers.

· Maintain organized records of attendance and ensure compliance with CEU accreditation requirements.

· Monitor Panolam's social media channels daily for questions and comments.

· Review and potentially respond to inquiries and comments in a timely and professional manner, adhering to brand guidelines.

· Escalate complex or sensitive issues to the appropriate marketing team member.

· Assist in the implementation of marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, and social media.

· Develop and distribute marketing materials, such as brochures, flyers, presentations, and website content.

· Help manage and update marketing databases, ensuring accuracy and segmentation for targeted communications.

· Assist with the planning and execution of trade shows, conferences, and other industry events

· Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including sales, product development, and customer service.

· Create engaging content for various marketing platforms, including website updates, social media posts, and email newsletters.

· Proofread and edit marketing materials to ensure accuracy and brand consistency.

· Occasional collaboration with the product digital department in the Auburn, Maine facility on artwork for use in healthcare, education, and other areas as needed.

Qualifications:

· Graphic Design background.

· Experience working with Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and WordPress.

· Knowledge of the Architecture and Design industry platforms, such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc., is a plus.

· Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

· Familiarity with marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, and social media platforms.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
